About the Artist

 

Ariel Brice is an artist who makes objects and installations that explore the territory between sight and touch. His work has been exhibited regionally and internationally. A 2009 graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art, some of his recent exhibitions include At Your Service at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, WA, Convergence and Transcendence, the 2015 Geyonggi International Ceramics Biennial in Icheon, South Korea, Nothing is the Same, Again at A-B Projects in Claremont, CA, Them Are Us Too at Ash Street Project in Portland, OR, and Transform, Transmit at Open Mind Art Space in Los Angeles, CA. He is a recipient of a 2013 Louis Comfort Tiffany Award. He has held teaching positions including the Fountainhead Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, Lecturer in Ceramics at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, Instructor-In-Residence at Oregon College of Art and Craft, Adjunct faculty in architecture at Woodbury University in Burbank, CA and Lecturer In Ceramics at Loyola Marymount University.

He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
